Our History

Today, we are one of the largest North American olive packers, a significant international processor of maraschino cherries and a major manufacturer of ready-to-use sauces.Throughout the company’s growth and expansion, Whyte’s has maintained its position as a leading importer of fine food products such as Dijon mustard, escargots, capers, olive oils, specialty olives, artichokes, anchovies, peppercorns and balsamic vinegar. Our mission is simple: to bring the best of the world to our customers.
The Mrs. Whyte’s brand originated in 1932 with Mrs. Whyte selling home-made pickled products to the Jewish community in Montreal. Over the years the product line has expanded to include a full range of pickles, relishes, horseradish and full line of salad dressings. Each product is made using quality ingredients, authentic recipes and traditional pickling techniques and stamped with Mrs. Whyte’s seal of approval.
The history of Whyte’s is rich with tradition and pride, however the most exciting aspect of our company lies in our future. Whyte’s continues to grow and expand as we work with our customers to bring new and exciting products to the market place. It is our tradition that makes us dynamic, driving us to maintain superior quality. The Whyte’s team offers youthful enthusiasm, technical expertise, state-of-the-art facilities and an approach to business that encourages long-lasting relationships with our customers, employees and suppliers.
